Purdue cruised to an 89-73 Big Ten victory at Wisconsin on Saturday night as Fletcher Loyer scored 20 points and Braden Smith added 14 points and 12 assists, becoming the Conference’s all-time career leader in assists in the process. C.J. Cox also scored 14 points to go with three steals, and Oscar Cluff finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Washington opened its first Midwest trip of the season on Sunday night with a 90-80 loss at Indiana that dropped the Huskies to 1-2 in conference play. Washington trailed by 12 at halftime and got as close as four early in the second half before the Hoosiers pulled away. Hannes Steinbach went for 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Desmond Claude scored 18 points and Zoom Diallo posted 16 points and seven assists. Franck Kepnang blocked three shots as well.

The Boilermakers are 6-1 against the Huskies all-time and have won the last three meetings, including a 69-58 road win on Jan. 15. Loyer averages 14.4 points for Purdue, with Trey Kaufman-Renn putting up 13.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game and Smith contributing 12.6 points and 9.6 assists a night. Daniel Jacobsen blocks 2.2 shots per contest as well. Steinbach leads Washington with averages of 18.3 points and 11.8 boards, while Claude scores 15.1 points per game and Kepnang gets 2.6 blocks per outing.
