Trump No Longer Feels ‘Obligation’ For Peace After Nobel Prize Snub

Donald Trump said he “no longer feels an obligation to think purely of Peace” as he linked his pursuit of Greenland to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a letter seen by Bloomberg.

In a letter reportedly sent by the US president to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, Trump wrote: “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace.”

He added: “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland”.

Newsweek has not seen a copy of the letter. In a response to Bloomberg, Store said he had explained to the president, the independent Nobel Committee decides who receives the Nobel Peace Prize, and not the Norwegian government.
