WWE Addressing Fan Criticism of Royal Rumble 2026 Presentation
WWE is aware of a significant fan criticism regarding the “Royal Rumble 2026” event. The top professional wrestling company touted over 25,000 fans at King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, but it didn’t come across that way on TV. Many fans watching the live stream criticized the LED lights in the crowd, as it made it appear the venue was empty.
PWInsider reports that WWE is addressing the issue by doing away with the LED lights for future events in Saudi Arabia. At some point during the women’s Royal Rumble match, the lights were significantly dimmed, but many feel it didn’t make a substantial improvement to the presentation.

Royal Rumble Missed The Mark For Some
As is often the case with the annual “Royal Rumble” show, the 2026 edition had some surprises, such as the debut of former AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs, who is now known as Royce Keys. Still, many criticized WWE for leaving off the likes of Finn Balor in favor of AAA stars Mr. Iguana and La Parka.
Jey Uso’s entrance spot during the men’s Royal Rumble match also drew the ire of many fans online. The biggest issue was that Brock Lesnar was eliminated right in the middle of Uso’s entrance. There were quite a few eliminations that didn’t come across as impactful to the critics.
