The Seattle Seahawks are currently leading the New England Patriots 3-0 in Super Bowl LX, and they’re just three quarters away from winning the second Super Bowl championship in franchise history.
But after the game ends — win or lose — Seattle is bracing for a pretty big loss.

Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who’s responsible for Seattle’s third-ranked scoring offense (28.4 points per game) and seventh-ranked overall offense (351.4 yards per game), is expected to depart to take the head coaching job with the Las Vegas Raiders.
That part isn’t news. But Kubiak’s departure will open a big hole in the Seahawks’ offense, but it could also spark another big loss the team will have to address this offseason.

“Coaching dominoes will fall in Seattle after the Super Bowl,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently wrote. “Klint Kubiak is headed to Las Vegas, and he will need an offensive coordinator.
“Seattle quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko is a natural candidate. He has been with Kubiak in Minnesota, New Orleans and Seattle. I expect him to have some traction there, or possibly in-house with Seattle.”

If Kubiak wants to bring a piece of Seattle’s offense with him to Vegas, offensive passing-game coordinator Jake Peetz or running backs coach Justin Outten could also be targets for the Raiders.
Kubiak and his OC of choice have a low bar to pass in 2026.
Recently fired head coach Pete Carroll went just 3-14 in his one and only year with the Raiders, and former offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was the highest-paid OC in the NFL in 2025, was fired midseason as the team struggled to score points and move the chains.
