Fans Applaud What Mike Vrabel Did Less Than 24 Hours After Losing in Super Bowl
The New England Patriots had a remarkable turnaround in Mike Vrabel’s first season as head coach, and their journey to Super Bowl LX on Sunday to take on the Seattle Seahawks was nothing short of impressive.
However, it just wasn’t their day. Despite a defense that kept them somewhat in the contest, the Patriots were dominated from start to finish, ultimately losing 29-13. They didn’t score their first points until roughly the 12-minute mark of the fourth quarter.
All that said, attention turned to Vrabel on Monday night when his actions went viral after the team returned home to New England.
Despite likely being tired and disappointed, Vrabel took the time to acknowledge and greet all the Patriots fans waiting outside the airport. He smiled, gave hugs, talked with fans, and even took pictures with many of them — moments the NFL shared on social media.

“Even after a tough one, he shows love to Pats Nation. That’s the Patriot Way right there. Thanks, Coach Vrabel,” one fan said.
Another added, “Win or lose, respecting the fans hits different. Much love, coach.”
A third wrote, “Class act. Team played hard throughout and never quit.”
“One more thing — thanking the Pats faithful right after touching down shows why he’s the right leader for this rebuild. The fans stuck by the team through a tough season, and hearing that genuine appreciation means a lot. New era in Foxborough starting strong. Love the energy and unity. Let’s go Pats!” another fan commented.

The Patriots are still less than a year into their rebuild under Vrabel, and this run was only the beginning of what the organization hopes to become after getting a taste of the Super Bowl, winning the AFC East, and capturing the conference with just a second-year quarterback in Drake Maye.
That said, New England will have to start from scratch in 2026, and there are clear holes to address this offseason — particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
