Broncos Insider Shoots Down Wild Trade Rumor Involving All-Pro Defender
With just days remaining before NFL free agency begins, trade rumors have started to take over social media.
While many of the top insiders in the industry have kept NFL fans informed on potential deals in the works, there are also a number of parody accounts on social media that often fool a number of users.
One such incident happened on Saturday when X user @EvinKnowsBall — a parody account with 19,000 followers — had fans worked up when he tweeted that the Denver Broncos were considering trading an All-Pro linebacker.
“The Broncos have let teams know that they are open to trading Nik Bonitto,” he wrote on X.
The post garnered nearly 408,000 views with 2,300 likes and more than 200 reposts.
Some fans took the Bonitto post and ran with it, speculating what a potential deal would look like for their respective teams.

However, Broncos insider Benjamin Albright of KOA Colorado quickly poured cold water on the notion that Bonitto was even remotely on the trade block.
“No, the Broncos have not made Nik Bonitto available and aren’t going to, no they haven’t tried to trade for Achane either,” Albright posted. “Any other made-up rumors I need to put the bed now?”
Bonitto being on the trade block seemed improbable given he just signed a four-year, $106 million contract back in September 2025. But if he were actually available, nearly every team in the NFL would be making calls to inquire about him.
The 26-year-old Bonitto, who’s also a two-time Pro Bowler, is one of the top, young pass-rushers in the NFL. Over his first four seasons, he’s totaled 138 tackles, 208 pressures, 124 hurries, 40 QB hits, 37 sacks, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception, one defensive touchdown, according to Pro Football Focus.
Bonitto logged 13.5 sacks, 61 pressures, 35 hurries, and 11 QB hits in 2024, and followed it up with 14 sacks, 81 pressures, 49 hurries, and 14 QB hits last season.
