For weeks, seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and brash WWE star Logan Paul have engaged in a trash-talking battle to promote their big event: a flag football game involving NFL players, celebrity athletes, and the United States men’s national flag football team.
On Saturday, all of their fiery exchanges culminated in an actual game on the field at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium. Brady and Paul lined up on opposing teams for the showdown, which also involved notable NFL stars, including Devonta Smith, Stefon Diggs, Von Miller, and Joe Burrow.
The round-robin tournament featured two teams assembled at an official draft event and the U.S. men’s national team, which proved they were much better at this particular game than even the professionals. It also included several significant highlight moments, including one where Paul got into it with Brady during a play.

A trick play arrived as the quarterback Brady tossed it to a teammate near the sideline. Brady then sprinted up the field and caught a pass from the teammate he’d thrown to.
However, Paul pursued the NFL legend and quickly yanked his flag to stop him from going too far down the field.
After the referee blew his whistle, Brady turned, smiling, and threw a short pass down towards Paul’s midsection. The WWE star quickly reacted, bringing a knee up to seemingly block a potential shot to the groin.
The nearby ref immediately threw a flag up in the air for a penalty on the play, as Paul got into Brady’s face for the post-play antics. As the crowd reacted to what happened, the ref had to get between Paul and Brady to de-escalate anything further.
“LOGAN PAUL AND TOM BRADY JUST GOT CHIPPY,” an Overtime clip on X said.
The clip gained attention on social media, as fans reacted to seeing the NFL great and WWE star going at it in Saturday’s simple game of flag football.
“Brady has 7 rings and he’s out here beefing with a YouTuber at a flag football game. Retirement is undefeated,” one X commenter wrote.
“Logan lowkey a better athlete than Tom,” another commenter suggested.
“Could WWE be doing a slow-burn crossover for Tom & Logan w/all this activity between the two?” someone asked.
Other commenters said, “Ain’t no way there’s legit beef lmao” and “this is actually peak entertainment.”
That was likely the main entertainment value for some who watched the event live or on television, as the United States national team destroyed both the other teams by a combined score of 82-27 to win the round-robin tournament.
One has to wonder if there will be any more back-and-forth involving Paul and Brady following this event, as Paul has the upcoming WrestleMania 42 to promote with WWE, and they always love to have additional star power at their big event.
