The limited television series is rising rapidly on many people’s must-watch list, with a positive 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviewers are calling it a fresh, raw, and emotional reinterpretation of one of America’s most fascinating but forgotten couples.

It’s the fifth installment in the “American Story” anthology franchise, after “American Horror Story,” “American Crime Story,” “American Sports Story,” and “American Horror Stories.” 

Airing on FX and Hulu, each self-contained miniseries follows a different genre. “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” is a truth-based series inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book “Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.”
