The tension between CM Punk and Roman Reigns spilled well beyond the broadcast on Monday night at Madison Square Garden.
After the March 30 episode of Raw went off the air, Punk found himself in a verbal confrontation with a fan in the crowd who had been loudly heckling him while he stood on the announce table following his brawl with Reigns. The exchange was captured on TikTok and quickly spread across social media.
The fan repeatedly shouted insults at Punk while pledging allegiance to Reigns. “Booooo! You suck! You suck! You suck! I acknowledge Roman! I acknowledge Roman!” the fan shouted.
Punk noticed the fan and responded by mockingly performing Reigns’ signature gesture, which only encouraged the fan further. When the heckling continued, Punk stopped holding back entirely.
“F*** you, buddy! This is The Garden. The marquee says ‘wrestling,’ not ‘cinema,’ you f***ing idiot,” Punk fired back.

The fan had one final shot. “You’re old! You’re old! You’re old!”
The off-air moment came after an already explosive on-air segment between the two. Reigns opened the final segment of Raw before Punk interrupted, and the confrontation immediately turned physical. The two traded heavy shots that spilled throughout the ringside area, with Punk smashing Reigns into the announce table and ring post while Reigns responded with a spear.
Punk hit a GTS before the chaos ultimately ended with him putting Reigns through the announce table with a powerbomb, standing tall as officials rushed in.
The segment and its aftermath represent one of the more charged final build moments heading into their World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 42. Reigns challenges Punk for the title on Night Two of the show on April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
