‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 Star Confirms Release Date, Reveals Major Plot Detail
One of the stars of “Slow Horses” Season 6 revealed a major plot point.
Christopher Chung, who played hacker Roddy Ho since season 1 in April 2022, confirmed his character’s fate during a red carpet interview at the Royal Television Society awards, held on March 25, 2026.
“I’m in it. I didn’t die,” he told HELLO! “So that’s a spoiler!”

Not only did Chung give away his presence in the next season for the first time, but also shed light on his character arc. “Ho becomes a little bit more spiritual. He’s a little bit more affected by what he’s been through with Tara in season 5, so you might see him be a little bit more holistic in the next one.”
“I think Roddy changes every season, so he’s still trying to find himself and become the best version of Ho that he can be.”
In the previous season, Chung got his meatiest role yet as he’s embroiled in a honey trap. His girlfriend, Tara, persuades him to run malicious code through the MI5 servers, which sees him suspected of criminal intent. While he manages to overcome the ordeal, the usually ego-driven Chung is seriously humbled.
The performance was enough to earn Chung an award nomination at the Royal Television Society Programme. He lost out to “Adolescence” star Owen Cooper. The award-winning spy series was nominated in three categories at the event: Drama Series, Supporting Actor (Male) for Christopher and Supporting Actor (Female) for Saskia Reeves.
‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 Release Date
“Slow Horses” Season 6 will be launching in late 2026. That’s according to Chung, who said, “it should be coming out at the end half of the year”.
“Slow Horses” showrunner Will Smith also offered insight into what to expect from the next season.
“This is my last season, but I know the books, so I kind of know what’s going to happen. There are some characters from the past that are going to come back, so I can give that clue.”
He also gave props to star Gary Oldman, who plays Slough House head Jackson Lamb in the series, both as an actor and a writer/director.
“He’s also a brilliant writer and director, so he brings a full package, and he really understands the show from all the different angles. He’s just a great resource to have outside of the brilliant work that he does playing Lamb.”
