Dunkin’, Shake Shack and Insomnia Cookies Unveil Latest Holiday Flavors
As Halloween ends, several stores are saying goodbye to their fall menus and hello to winter flavors.
While Starbucks already unveiled its winter menu launching tomorrow, Dunkin’ also has some new treats for customers to take advantage of all holiday season.
At Dunkin’, the new holiday lineup includes the decadent Cookie Butter Cold Brew, which first made an appearance last year and was quick to impress shoppers. The drink comes with Dunkin’s smooth Cold Brew, along with notes of brown sugar and buttery cookies and is topped with the iconic Cookie Butter Cold Foam and cookie butter crumbles.
There’s also a brand new Spiced Cookie Coffee this year and it’s available in both iced and hot forms. The drink has brown sugar and vanilla flavors along with creamy oatmilk to “capture the essence of freshly baked oatmeal cookies in a cup,” the company said.
Traditional holiday lattes are back as well, including the Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte and the Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte. Both are topped with whipped cream and specialty drizzles.
The chain is also selling a Triple Chocolate Muffin this season.
But it’s not just coffee chains that are getting in on the winter season.
Shake Shack also launched a collection of shakes in partnership with DreamWorks’ Trolls Band Together, which will be released on November 17. Each of the three milkshakes available is inspired by leading characters in the film along with classic winter flavors, and they are available starting Wednesday.
“We had a blast dreaming up the trio of shakes that so perfectly capture the flavor of Trolls Band Together characters,” said Nick Wuest, Senior Manager, Culinary Innovation at Shake Shack in a statement.
“It was only fitting we gave one of our most beloved shakes the Poppy treatment with sugar cookie popping candy and a pile of cotton candy ‘Trolls hair.’ We took a similar approach for Branch and Viva, combining classic flavors like mint chocolate and cinnamon rolls with the fun, joy and glitter of Trolls that we know our guests will love.”
The three new shakes include Poppy’s Sugar Cookie Shake, which is hand-spun sugar cookie frozen custard, mixed with cookie dough pop candy and topped with whipped cream and cotton candy.
Or, you can opt for Branch’s Peppermint Shake, which is created with hand-spun vanilla and chocolate frozen custard, mixed with mint fudge, and topped with whipped cream and mint candy crunch.
There’s also Viva’s Cinnamon Roll Shake, which features cinnamon roll frozen custard, swirled with gold frosting, and topped with whipped cream and gold confetti
“We’re excited to partner with Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation to bring the world of Trolls from the big screen to life in our Shacks,” said Jay Livingston, Chief Marketing Officer at Shake Shack in a statement. “It was so much fun taking inspiration from these colorful, beloved characters to create a trio of shakes and can’t wait for our guests to get a taste of Trolls magic this holiday season, sparkles included.”
Cookie lovers will also be pleased as Insomnia Cookies is dropping a surprise collection for late-night snackers for a month-long happy hour deal.
The collection features the Cranberry White Chocolate Classic Cookie as well as a Midnight Classic Cookie featuring dark chocolate cookie dough and white chocolate chips that will excite everyone with a sweet tooth. There’s also a Carrot Cake Classic and a Speculoos Classic cookie available.
The holiday season also signals Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark’s return. The dessert returns officially on November 15.
Three fan-favorite desserts featuring the bark are back, including the Peppermint Bark Shake, Peppermint Bark Dazzler, and Peppermint Bark ice cream.
The shake is topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint pieces, while the Dazzler includes three scoops of Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark ice cream layered with hot fudge and chocolate cookie pieces.
“It’s no secret that peppermint is a staple flavor during the holidays,” said Rachel Jaiven, Häagen-Dazs Marketing Director, in a statement. “Our Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark flavor is truly special – especially these three desserts. This much-loved flavor is one that we all look forward to enjoying during the holidays.”
