A kindhearted resident shared a mysterious and heartwarming story on Reddit after a scruffy but friendly cat began routinely showing up at their door.
In a post, the person shared that the feline would arrive demanding attention and even stayed the night before returning to the street, leading to theories from commenters about the cat’s origin story. Since the post was published, it has received over 3,200 upvotes.
The user posted about the frequent visitor, writing: “This cute boy just started showing up at my house and demands being pet for an hour or so, before going back to the streets … He is neutered, but his fur is all messed up, so I think he was abandoned, he also comes to spend the night with us.”
The cat puzzled the owner about his status. The regular visits prompted many Reddit users to suggest that the person was now part of the feline’s secret, multifaceted social life.
“Neutered? Messed up hair? Coming to visit for an hour every day or even spending the night with you? That guy is cheating on his wife with you!” one user posted.
Another commenter suggested that the feline was simply a highly social neighbor: “Hard to say, but some cats just adopt their neighbors.
