Nick Robinson, the actor who starred in a film that Rob Reiner and his son Nick Reiner worked on together, has broken his silence after the deaths of the acclaimed director and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, according to US Weekly.
“RIP Rob Reiner. He showed me so much kindness and grace as a young actor,” Robinson wrote on his Instagram Stories on Monday, according to the news outlet, in a message that is no longer visible.
“An incredible artist with such a capacity for empathy and warmth.”
Robinson played Charlie in the 2015 film Being Charlie. Rob Reiner directed the film, which was co-written by Nick Reiner and loosely based on his battle with drug addiction and time living on the streets.
On Tuesday, Nick Reiner, 32, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder over the deaths of his parents. That came two days after the couple’s bodies were found in their home in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood on the west side of Los Angeles.
