Acura Adds ADX SUV to Its Lineup, Welcomes ‘Young Buyers’

Acura is expanding its lineup. The 2026 Acura ADX, unveiled today, is a new, premium compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) designed to deliver an engaging driving experience and “welcome young buyers” into the folds of the Acura brand, the company said.

“The all-new Acura ADX is an exciting new gateway model for the Acura brand expanding our performance SUV lineup to four exceptional models in the most popular segments,” said Mike Langel, assistant vice president, Acura National Sales in a press release. “ADX will hit the heart of the premium compact SUV segment, which has grown significantly over the past few years.”

ADX’s exterior and interior design pull from the other Acuras available today: Integra and TLX sedans and RDX and MDX SUVs. It features a Diamond Pentagon grille, low belt line and rear fenders designed to give the ADX a level of gravitas. A rear hatch that is accented by wide-set taillights and adjacent to dual exhaust finishers give it sporty looks. Its windshield wipers are hidden from view when not in use.

Its 185.8-inch length makes it slightly larger than the Subaru Forester and Honda CR-V. It is more than five inches longer than the Lincoln Corsair.

Acura will offer ADX in six paint colors including the ADX-exclusive Adriatic Sea Blue Metallic.

Acura plans to sell the SUV in three trim levels: ADX, A-Spec and A-Spec with Advance Package. By opting for a grade with the A-Spec name, buyers get a vehicle with a darkened exterior appearance courtesy of gloss black lower trim, Gun Metallic skid garnishes at the front and rear, 19-inch wheels and A-Spec badges. Checking the box on the Advance Package option adds gloss black mirrors, black 19-inch wheels, and additional technology.

The interior design of the ADX isn’t that of a downmarket RDX, but rather the same types of features employed in both. Buyers can choose from three color schemes: Ebony, Red/Ebony and Orchid/Blue. The Orchid and Blue scheme is an Acura first.

With its large body size, the ADX offers top-of-class cargo volume, 24.4 cubic-feet (cu-ft) behind the rear seats, which is about 10 cu-ft less than what is in the CR-V and 3 cu-ft less than what the Corsair offers. With the rear seats folded, that number is expanded to 55.1 cu-ft, which is less than that those offer as well. However, the volume is more than what Cadillac has in the XT4.

Base model features include a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charger, a 5G-connected telematics system, power closing tailgate and an eight-speaker sound system.

Upping to the A-Spec model adds key features like ventilated seats, a panoramic moonroof, flat-bottom steering wheel, LED fog lights and a cargo cover. Moving higher in to the A-Spec with Advance Package model puts a 15-speaker Bang & Olufson bespoke speaker system in the car as well as a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, remote engine start and a host of safety and driver assistance technologies.

Google Built-in comes standard on A-Spec with Advance Package models. With that, Honda offers ADX buyers a complimentary three-year unlimited data plan with purchase.

Every Acura also comes with a complementary three-year AcuraLink remote services subscription.

The long list of standard and available advanced driver safety systems technology includes blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assistance, road departure mitigation, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and rear cross-traffic monitoring. A surround view monitor and technology that alerts a driver to a “false start” in traffic and helps to avoid low-speed collisions, are available.

Acura expects to start shipping the ADX to dealers in early 2025 with a price range starting in the mid-$30,000s.
