AEW Wrestler Gets His Head Shaved at Grand Slam: Australia

Wheeler Yuta entered AEW Grand Slam Australia with a full head of hair but left the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney with a completely different look. On February 14, 2026, the Death Riders member participated in a Mixed Tornado Tag Team match that carried a unique stipulation.

The rules stated that whichever individual was pinned during the contest would be forced to have their head shaved in the middle of the ring. Yuta teamed with Marina Shafir to take on the popular duo of Orange Cassidy and “Timeless” Toni Storm.

The match was a chaotic affair that saw all four competitors using the tornado rules to their advantage. Despite the aggressive tactics of the Death Riders, the Sydney crowd remained firmly behind Storm and Cassidy.

The end of the bout came when Toni Storm connected with a Storm Zero on Yuta, allowing her and Cassidy to secure the victory. Following the pinfall, a frustrated Yuta attempted to flee the ringside area to avoid the haircut. However, his retreat was cut short by his own mentor and AEW Continental Champion, Jon Moxley.

Moxley intercepted Yuta on the entrance ramp and physically forced him back into the squared circle. Moxley made it clear that the stipulation must be honored, showing no sympathy for his stablemate. Shafir stood by as Luther prepared the clippers to carry out the punishment.

While Yuta sat in a chair, Luther shaved the top of his head, leaving the wrestler essentially bald. The humiliation was visible on Yuta’s face as the locks of hair fell to the mat. The incident has sparked immediate discussion among fans about the Death Riders’ stability and whether Yuta will have resentment toward Moxley for his role in the shaming.
