Four people have reportedly been killed and scores of others injured in a mass shooting in Alabama.
The shooting took place in the Five Points South neighborhood of Birmingham at around 11 p.m. on Saturday night.
According to a report by CNN, two men and a woman were found unresponsive at the scene with gunshot wounds, and all three were later pronounced dead. A fourth victim died in hospital.
It is believed multiple shooters may have been involved. The University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital is treating 11 of the victims, a hospital spokesperson told CNN.
“Officers are on the scene of multiple people shot with possibly multiple casualties,” the Birmingham Police Department wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
