Alysa Liu Offered Wild Lifetime Gift After Winning Olympic Gold
It’s pretty awesome to be American Olympian Alysa Liu right now.
She landed in Italy a little over two weeks ago and won a gold medal on the opening weekend of the competition in the figure skating team event.
Fast forward to near the end of the Winter Olympic Games, and she has the performance of possibly the entire two weeks with her free skate routine that has gone viral all over the internet.
She’s gone from having 300,000 Instagram followers on the opening night of the Olympics to over 2 million on Friday, with thousands joining every minute.
Could there be anything sweeter for the 20-year-old out of Oakland, California?
Well, one business in her hometown has an unbelievable lifetime offer waiting for her when she gets back home.

Fentons Creamery, a historic Oakland ice cream parlor on Piedmont Avenue for over a century, has officially offered Liu free ice cream for the rest of her life.
“Alysa Liu from the ice to the world stage, you continue to inspire our entire community,” they posted on their official Instagram. “What an incredible achievement, and what a moment for Oakland. Ice cream for life? Seriously. We mean it.
“When you’re ready to celebrate, we would love to host your homecoming party at Fentons Creamery. The sundaes are on standby. Oakland shows up for its own.”
Liu put her hometown on her map throughout the Olympics, even shouting out the city following her short program on Tuesday, which put her in contention for the gold medal that she won two nights later.
Two gold medals. Millions of followers. Celebrities shouting her out across the internet. And now free ice cream for life.
Not a bad two weeks for a 20-year-old girl out of Oakland.
