Amazon products recalled nationwide over death risks
Amazon products have been recalled nationwide over death risks, with customers urged to take immediate action.
Newsweek contacted Amazon for comment via email.

What To Know
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued new recall alerts for four distinct products sold nationwide via Amazon.com, warning of risks ranging from fire and severe injury to death.
The products—including children’s toys, power strips, dressers, and adult bed rails—were sold by third-party vendors and failed to comply with mandatory U.S. safety standards.
Each was found to pose a specific, serious hazard to users, most notably children and elderly adults.
Meaicezli Play Purse Sets
About 3,090 units have been recalled due to the presence of easily accessible button cell and coin batteries in the included toy cell phone and tablet.
If swallowed, these batteries can cause internal chemical burns, serious injury, or death. No injuries have been reported to date.
The sets were sold online by Angeer-US between August and October 2025.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the set, secure the toy phone and tablet away from children, and contact Angeer-US for a refund after submitting proof of disposal.

ANNQUAN Power Strips (Models EX-D112-05 & EX-D106-25)
About 11,200 ANNQUAN-branded power strips have been recalled after investigators determined they lack crucial overcurrent protection, making them susceptible to overheating and fire, posing the risk of burns or smoke inhalation.
Seven fuse-blow incidents have been reported, but there have been no injuries or fires so far.
Sold by Hefei Juyuan Sporting Development on Amazon from December 2023 to October 2025, the recall affects both black and yellow models. Consumers should stop use immediately and contact the company for a refund.

KKL Fabric 9-Drawer Dressers
The recalled dressers, totaling about 4,740 units, do not meet stability standards outlined in the STURDY Act if not anchored to a wall, posing tip-over and entrapment risks that could cause injury or death, especially to children.
No injuries have been reported. The dressers, sold by HK Brilliant on Amazon from September 2023 through November 2025, should be removed from child-accessible areas and disposed of, according to recall instructions to receive a refund.

JOKOSIS Adult Portable Bed Rails
Roughly 12,000 bed rails were recalled for not complying with the mandatory safety standard for adult portable bed rails.
When in use, the rails can create entrapment and asphyxiation hazards, and the necessary warning labels are missing. Sold by JOKOSIS on Amazon from August through November 2025, no injuries have been reported.
Owners must stop using the product, mark it as “RECALLED,” send proof to the seller, and dispose of it following local waste rules to claim a refund.

What People Are Saying
Amazon says on its website: “Our Product Safety Team proactively investigates and addresses reported safety complaints and incidents to ensure customer protection from potential product-related safety risks. We closely monitor public recall alert websites and receive notifications from vendors and sellers. Upon discovering a product recall, we immediately halt affected product offerings and promptly inform both customers and sellers involved about the recall.”
What Happens Next
Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products are urged to immediately discontinue use and follow recall instructions for safe disposal or evidence submission to receive refunds.
Regulators continue to advise vigilant consumer response and prompt adherence to recall instructions to prevent possible harm.
