‘American Pickers’ Star Danielle Colby Reacts to Mike’s Post Malone Video
American Pickers star Danielle Colby has commented on Mike Wolfe’s post of a video of him at a Post Malone concert.
The two have been co-hosting the show together ever since Frank Fritz left at the end of Season 21. The program follows them as they scour the country for forgotten gems in junkyards, basements and garages, and recycle and renovate them while meeting quirky characters along the way.
Colby and Wolfe have both been in the spotlight recently following the death of Fritz, who died on September 30, with the two often sharing support for each other online.
Newsweek emailed spokespeople for Colby and Wolfe for comment on Tuesday outside of normal business hours.
Last week, Wolfe posted a clip to Instagram of him in the audience at a Malone gig with the caption: “@postmalone Nashville TN.”
Colby shared her support, writing: “Postyyyyyyyy!!!!” alongside multiple fire emojis.
This isn’t the first time that Colby has shared her support in the comment section of one of Wolfe’s posts, as she also did so following the death of Fritz.
Fritz’s last appearance on the program was in March 2020 when he took a break to recover from back surgery. When American Pickers returned in January 2021, Fritz was not on the show and Wolfe later released a statement to say Fritz would not be returning to the series.
Per Fritz’s death certificate, the 60-year-old reality star died of “late sequela of cerebral infarction,” or a stroke that resulted from cerebral vascular disease. Wolfe addressed his death in a post on Instagram.
“It’s has taken me a long time to figure out what I was going to say or if I even wanted to post that we have new episodes starting tomorrow night,” Wolfe wrote while sharing a clip of the upcoming season of American Pickers.
“The timing of this and Frank’s passing is not great however we have been making shows without Frank for four years now and we have always wanted him to be back with this crew, but he couldn’t due to health issues. Every time the crew and I were in Iowa, we would go and sit by Frank’s side and let him know how much he was missed, how he could never be replaced and we will work incredibly hard on every episode to make him proud. As always, since Frank has left, I dedicate this show and all the others this season in his honor.”
Colby commented: “I love you brother [mending heart emoji],” to which Wolfe responded: “Love you more Honey.”
Wolfe had to previously reassure fans that Colby was still involved in the show after she was missing from a behind-the-scenes video from American Pickers.
The creator and current co-host of the History Channel reality show was showing off a new video on his TikTok channel, and after sharing it cross-platform on Instagram, Wolfe responded to worried fans.
Twelve people are featured in the video that Wolfe shared on his social channels. They range from other pickers and co-executive producers to production supervisors and a director of photography. Fans noticed that Wolfe’s co-host Colby was missing.
“She still rocking with us,” Wolfe said to one commenter and wrote to others that she was back in the office.
