Ashley St. Clair Offers Trump ‘Breakup Advice’ Amid Elon Musk Feud
A woman who claimed that Elon Musk fathered her child offered “breakup advice” to President Donald Trump amid his developing feud with the world’s richest man.
Why It Matters
The apparent fallout of the relationship between Trump and the former Department of Government Efficiency chief has dramatically escalated into an all-out war of words in the White House and on social media.
In February, Ashley St. Clair, an author, conservative political commentator, and influencer, posted on X, formerly Twitter, that she and Musk had welcomed a child together in September 2024. Musk has 13 other children with three different women.
What To Know
On Thursday, St. Clair offered to help Trump navigate the messy feud with the alleged father of her child, writing on X: “hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice.”
The post had been liked nearly 50,000 times as of the time of publication.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world,” St. Clair posted earlier this year on X. “Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.
“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”
The Tesla and SpaceX leader allegedly offered to pay 26-year-old St. Clair a one-time payment of $15 million, in addition to $100,000 a month in support, to keep quiet about their infant son, The Wall Street Journal reported in April.
It ultimately was revealed that her son is named Romulus.
What People Are Saying
Elon Musk, on X: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate. Such ingratitude.”
President Donald Trump, on Truth Social on Thursday: “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”
What Happens Next
Musk has posted multiple times on X on Thursday, condemning the legislation that requires Republican support to proceed. One post included a poll about starting a new American political party, while others featured reposts of old quotes from Trump and GOP lawmakers about balancing the budget.
