Banned ‘60 Minutes’ episode leaked online: watch here
A 60 Minutes report that was pulled by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss on Sunday has now become widely available on social media after a Canadian outlet reportedly posted it online.
The segment features interviews with Venezuelans deported by President Donald Trump’s administration to El Salvador’s notorious maximum security prison, CECOT.
The prison, created under the initiative of El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, has capacity for 40,000 inmates and is said to house some of the country’s worst gang members.
On Sunday, 60 Minutes announced that the segment would not run in their show, saying on X: “The broadcast lineup for tonight’s edition of 60 Minutes has been updated. Our report ‘Inside CECOT’ will air in a future broadcast.”
But Global TV, the outlet that airs 60 Minutes in Canada, showed the segment on its app before taking it down, according to The Globe and Mail. The segment was then temporarily available on iCloud before being taken down.

This is a developing news story. More to follow.
