Blue Jays Take Random Massive Shot at Browns Quarterback Situation
The Cleveland Browns are heading into the 2025 season with a huge question regarding their starting quarterback situation. The team currently has Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.

Any one of the four could theoretically win the starting position, but none of them appear to be leading the pack. It is a bit early to decide that, considering training camp does not start until July and preseason doesn’t start until August.
There are also rumors that the Browns are planning on keeping all four quarterbacks on the 53-man roster for the 2025 season, which would be unheard of.
This bizarre quarterback situation has been noticed by fans, pundits, and other teams. The Toronto Blue Jays decided to take a random shot at the Browns while playing the Cleveland Guardians.
In a play during the Blue Jays and Guardians, first baseman Kyle Manzardo attempts to throw the ball home to strike out a runner, but his ball goes far over the catcher’s head. This leads to a run and also another Guardians player running to second base.
The Blue Jays chose to make fun of Manzardo’s throw, and couple it with the Browns quarterback situation.

“The search for a QB1 in Cleveland continues…”
The simple caption the Blue Jays posted is clearly poking fun at the Browns, while also taking a dig at the city’s MLB team as well.
Fans also took notice of the Blue Jays’ shot.

Cleveland is certainly going to have to figure out who QB1 is when the 2025 NFL season approaches, but they have a ton of testing left to do.
The assumption right now is that Flacco or Pickett will start, given their veteran status. However, Sanders has also been a huge polarizing figure since the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sanders was slated to be a first-round pick, but fell to the fifth round, where he was drafted by the Browns. What makes the pick so confusing is that the team also took Gabriel in the third round.
Having two developmental rookies is not unheard of, but drafting a proposed talent like Sanders after taking Gabriel is what makes the situation a bit odd. Only one will presumably be given the QB2 or QB3 slot, leaving the other to possibly remain on the team as the practice squad option.
Either way, the Blue Jays offered a poignant shot at the Browns.
