Bo Bichette Shares ‘Most Valuable Lesson’ From 2025 Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays had a season for the ages, even though they were not able to hoist the World Series trophy on Saturday night.

Toronto pushed the now two-time World Series reigning champs far. The Blue Jays finished the season just one win short of their ultimate goal and took more than nine innings in Game 7 of the World Series to confirm that. The Dodgers won Game 7 on Saturday in 11 innings and now the offseason is here.

The Blue Jays won’t have a long time to mull over the loss before they have to make a few critical decisions, including whether they will be bringing back All-Star infielder Bo Bichette. Bichette hasn’t spoken about his future much, but he has said he wants to stick around in Toronto. After the Game 7 loss, Bichette also shared that he learned his “most valuable lesson” of his career from the 2025 Blue Jays, as transcribed by Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.

“I’ll remember this group forever,” Bichette said, as transcribed by Matheson. “This group has taught me what a team is. I think it’s probably the most valuable lesson of my career.”

It’s going to be a long offseason for the Blue Jays after coming so close to the title. On top of that, there’s the lingering question about Bichette’s future as well. But, he has said everything right so far, at least. This Blue Jays team came close, but couldn’t get over the hump. Keeping Bichette, arguably, would put the club in a position to try again next year.
