For the first three quarters of their Week 7 matchup on Sunday, the New York Giants likely felt good about their chances of leaving Mile High Stadium with a win over the Denver Broncos.
New York held a 19-0 lead heading into the final quarter, and Denver’s offense mustered just 111 yards with six punts and turnover-on-downs.
But a wild 33-point fourth quarter coupled with some clutch playmaking from quarterback Bo Nix sealed one of the more improbable comeback wins in recent memory as the Broncos stormed back for the 33-32 victory.
During his postgame interview with CBS Sports’ Melanie Collins moments after the final whistle, Nix took the opportunity to throw some subtle shade at the contingency of Broncos fans who left early in the fourth quarter when the team was trailing by three scores.

“Well, I feel bad for the people that left early,” Nix joked. “… It was really bad there for a point, the juice, the moral was low on the sideline, but guys never quit. It took a few plays, then next thing you know, Will Lutz is kicking the game-winner, and man, I just can’t believe it. I haven’t really had one like that.”
Nix led an eight-play, 78-yard touchdown drive early in the fourth, capped off with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Troy Franklin that cut the lead to 19-8.
The Giants responded with a 67-yard touchdown drive of their own that stretched their lead to 26-8, but Nix led touchdown drives of 74 yards, 19 yards, and 68 yards, and the defense forced a punt and a Jaxson Dart interception that keyed the furious comeback.

Nix finished 279 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 50 pass attempts, while Courtland Sutton led the team with six catches for 87 yards, and Marvin Mims added six catches for 85 yards.
The win is Denver’s fourth in a row. After falling to 1-2 following back-to-back one-score losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos reeled off victories over the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, and Giants.
The Broncos will host the Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1) next week. Dallas is coming off a dominant 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
