This event is a major venture for TKO Group. It signals a significant move into the world of boxing promotion.

WWE has a long history of using boxers to generate mainstream attention. The tradition began at the first WrestleMania in 1985, where Muhammad Ali served as a special guest referee for the main event.

The most impactful crossover occurred in 1998 when Mike Tyson became heavily involved in the rivalry between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. Tyson’s role as an enforcer at WrestleMania 14 was a critical moment that boosted WWE’s popularity during the Attitude Era.

Other notable appearances include Floyd Mayweather, who defeated Big Show at WrestleMania 24. More recently, Tyson Fury competed against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel.
