Briana Chickenfry Reveals Plans For Matching Tattoo With Ex Zach Bryan
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is choosing to keep a matching tattoo that she has with her ex-boyfriend after a nasty break-up.
LaPaglia, 25, recently took to TikTok to address comments she’s seen about the matching tattoo which she shares with her ex boyfriend, Zach Bryan.
In the video posted to TikTok on Sunday, November 10, the BFFs podcast host explained, “I see a lot of people being like, ‘Well, now I have to get my ‘How lucky are we’ tattoo removed,'” referring to the tattoo on her arm which is inspired by a lyric from 28 year-old Bryan’s song titled “28.” She also clarified, “That was my thing. That is my tattoo. Now we’re matching, OK?” LaPaglia ended the video by telling her followers, “I’m not getting it removed. It’s OK. This is mine. How lucky are we? That was me.”
The song that inspired the tattoo was rumored to be written by the country singer about LaPaglia, as the lyrics mention her hometown of Boston. However, Bryan has since clarified that the song was not about his ex, but about their dog, Boston, in a July interview with American Songwriter.
The pair, who dated for over a year, broke up earlier this year with LaPaglia revealing their separation on Instagram on October 22. The two reportedly grew apart due to differing personal and professional paths, although neither has gone into specifics about what led to their breakup.
LaPaglia publicly revealed on her podcast the emotionally abusive aspects of their relationship. She claimed the “Pink Skies” hitmaker treated her poorly throughout the relationship, explaining how she cried herself to sleep most nights and often felt trapped in a toxic cycle. She also alleged that Bryan offered her $12 million and an apartment in New York City in exchange for her silence about the details of their breakup.
