Following the Cleveland Browns’ Week 10 loss against the New York Jets, even more tension is starting to rise surrounding the franchise. Fans are disgusted by the product that has been put on the field so far this year.
At this point in time, many view the Browns as unwatchable. Kevin Stefanski’s seat has been getting hotter as the season has moved forward. Andrew Berry is very much in the same boat.
One of the big points of frustration in Cleveland has been the quarterback position. That same trend has been a problem for years. Right now, Stefanski has remained steadfast in his belief that rookie signal caller Dillon Gabriel should be the team’s starting quarterback.

While confidence from a head coach in a young quarterback is important, Gabriel has been unable to move the needle. The Browns also have Shedeur Sanders waiting in the background for an opportunity to play.
Despite Sanders being ready to play when called upon, Stefanski has been unwilling to give him a chance to this point. In fact, he has been caught trying to avoid using Sanders’ name when talking about the rookie.
With that being said, the Cleveland head coach has received some criticism for his weird quirk of not talking about Sanders by name. Garrett Bush spoke out on “The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show” with his opinion on the matter.
“I think it is alarming that he can’t say this dude’s name,” Bush said. “What he says—specifically about a question about Shedeur Sanders, he pivots to young players. Like, if you ask him a question about Quinshon Judkins, he is going to say Quinshon Judkins. He’s going to say Carson Schwesinger, he is gonna say Dillon Gabriel. He won’t—when he talks about Shedeur Sanders, it’s young players in a vague, general topic.”
Honestly, it’s a good point. Stefanski does seem to have some kind of problem with Sanders. At the very least, he has a concerning belief that Gabriel is his guy despite the results not being seen on the field.

Stefanski is without a doubt on the hot seat. There is a decent chance that the Browns could choose to move on from their head coach at the end of this season.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Cleveland will give Sanders a chance to play in the near future. The Browns have absolutely nothing to lose and need to find out what they have in Sanders before the season comes to an end. Gabriel clearly isn’t a long-term option.
