The Cleveland Browns are one of the more dysfunctional franchises in the NFL.
Multiple reports have indicated the team has done it’s best to “sabotage” quarterback Shedeur Sanders after drafting him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. There’s also been lots of speculation the front office and coaching staff have been locked in a never-ending battle of tug-o-war over Sanders’ long-term future with the team.
There’s also been reports that Cleveland is not only mulling over its quarterback options for next season (Deshaun Watson is under contract and will be healthy) but it’s also contemplating making a change at head coach as well.

Some analysts are convinced head coach Kevin Stefanski already has one foot out the door, while others believe the Browns would be crazy to fire a two-time Coach of the Year heading into what could be a pivotal rebuilding year.
While nothing concrete is known about Stefanski’s coaching future, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently reported the Browns have already taken the first step toward moving on from Stefanski.
“There are some 50/50s out there,” Fowler stated. “Cleveland, Las Vegas — those are two places I see as like, they’ve done their preliminary research for a potential move. It doesn’t mean they’re likely to do it, or that they’ve decided yet, but those are certainly on my radar.”

In six seasons with the Browns, Stefanski has a 44-56 record with two playoff appearances and one playoff wins.
Should he be terminated, multiple NFL insiders believe Stefanski will have a list of potential suitors. He’s already been linked to the New York Giants head coaching vacancy, and he could get consideration for the Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers jobs if they become open.
