Caleb Williams Reacts to Brutal Micah Parsons Injury News
NFL players are opponents on the field, but off the field, they’re humans and understand what it takes to survive in the league. On Sunday, Dec. 14, Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons suffered a brutal injury, and it drew a strong reaction from Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
The injury occurred in the second half of the game when Parsons went down with a non-contact knee injury. It was obvious from the get-go that this injury was serious, and video captured Parsons sending a message to the sideline right after the injury, simply saying, “I’m out,” as shared by the X account MLFootball.
So, even though having a star Packers player injured right before the Bears and Packers game in Week 16 is good news for Chicago, Bears quarterback Williams didn’t have a happy reaction to it. Nobody wants to see anybody injured in the NFL, even on opposing teams.

Following the incident, Williams reshared a post on X from the BearsShowYo account, stating, “Micah Parsons injured. Prayers up.” It says a lot about Williams’ character that he shared a heartfelt statement like that for a rival team.

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have both been close to topping the NFC North this season. Before the NFL’s Week 15 games, the Packers had a half-game lead over the Chicago Bears in the NFC North.
Next up, the Packers will take on the Bears at Soldier Field on Saturday, Dec. 20, and possibly without Parsons, if his injury is severe enough. The good news for the Packers is that Parsons was able to leave the field on his own, walking, but medical staff did have to help him get into the locker room. He didn’t even go into the medical tent on the sideline, which is another sign that he knew the injury was so serious it would take him out of the game.

Parsons wasn’t the only Packers player injured against the Broncos. A few minutes before Parsons’ injury, wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a chest injury after trying to get a throw from quarterback Jordan Love. At first, Watson left the field and stayed on the sideline, but eventually, he left and went into the locker room and didn’t come back out.
