California Fire Map, Update as Ranch Fire Rapidly Spreads
🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.
The California Ranch Fire, which ignited Tuesday afternoon, had scorched around 4,205 acres of land in San Bernardino county by the end of the day.
After starting at 2.33 p.m. local time on June 10, the Ranch Fire continued to rage through the county, at zero percent containment.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) said that the fire was “wind-driven and threatening multiple structures in the Apple Valley area.”
The local fire service added that “fire behavior has intensified due to shifting weather conditions, including increasing winds and low humidity, contributing to rapid fire spread.”

CAL FIRE
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has issued an evacuation order for residents in Apple Valley.
CAL FIRE warned that there was an “immediate threat to life.”
“This is a lawful order to LEAVE NOW. The area is lawfully closed to public access,” the service wrote on its website.
