Celebrities Excluded from Oscars ‘In Memoriam’ Sparks Fury
Celebrities excluded from the Oscars In Memoriam tribute is causing a stir online.
On Sunday, Morgan Freeman presented the segment at the Academy Awards, which honored actors and filmmakers who died over the last year including Gene Hackman, James Earl Jones, David Lynch and Maggie Smith.
Noticeably absent from that lineup were late stars like Michelle Trachtenberg, Shannen Doherty and Tony Todd, and fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out the blunder.
“NO michelle trachtenberg??? NO shannen Doherty ??? NO Tony Todd???? i’m SICK #Oscars2025,” read one viral message shared to the platform by @horrorsthetics.
At the time of publication, the post racked up over 900,000 views and more than 52,000 likes.
