Celebs Who Called Off Their Divorces and Got Back Together

Keeping a marriage together in Hollywood has proven to be a challenging feat.

Over the years, many celebrities have filed for divorce and ended relationships — only to decide they do want to stay with their original partner. However, while some couples last the test of time, others eventually follow through with divorce.

Here are some celebrities who have split up and gotten back together.

Tish & Billy Ray Cyrus

While Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus — who wed in 1993 — called off their divorce multiple times, their relationship ultimately ended in them going their separate ways.

In October 2010, a decade after their youngest child was born, Billy Ray filed for divorce but called it off in March 2011. Tish filed for divorce two years later, in June 2013, but the couple decided to work things out the following month. However, the reunion didn’t last long. In 2022, Tish filed for divorce for the final time and revealed she and her hubby had been separated for over two years.

The pair released a joint statement that read: “It is after 30 years, five amazing children, and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways — not with sadness, but with love in our hearts.”

Pink & Carey Hart

Pink and Carey Hart tied the knot in Costa Rica in 2006, but in 2008, the popstar and the off-road truck racer told the public they were splitting.

However, sometimes, time apart makes the heart grow fonder, and this seems to be the case for the couple because, in 2009, they reconciled and have been going strong ever since.

The pair share two children: daughter Willow, born in 2011, and son Jameson, born in 2016.

In January 2025, the singer-songwriter honored her 19th wedding anniversary with Hart on Instagram, expressing her love for him, writing, “19 years ago on a beach in Costa Rica we both took a chance we weren’t sure we even believed in. I’m so glad we did. I’ve been with you longer than I haven’t. You’ve been my one constant. You have loved me, hated me, and loved me again. I love our story no matter what gets written. It is gritty and sweet. Thank you for being by my side all these years. I love you forever.”

Patrick & Jillian Dempsey

Patrick and Jillian Dempsey wed in 1999 and share a daughter, Talula, born in 2022, and twin boys, Darby and Sullivan, born in 2007.

In 2015, Jillian filed for divorce, but the couple’s flame was seemingly still burning as they called their divorce off a year later in 2016.

In 2018, the Grey’s Anatomy star spoke to Entertainment Tonight about their relationship: “We are growing together as a couple, individually, and as a family. The older you get, the more you realize how little time you have, and [how] you want to make the most of it.”

Cardi B & Offset

Like Billy Ray and Tish, Cardi B and Offset had an on-again-off-again relationship for years, and, as of 2025, divorce is in the cards.

The rappers secretly married in September 2017 and welcomed daughter Kulture into the world in July 2018. In September 2020, it was reported that Cardi B had filed for divorce from Offset. However, in September 2021, Cardi gave birth to their son Wave.

Things seemed to be going well for the couple until July 2024, when Cardi filed for divorce. The “I Like It” rapper announced she was pregnant with a baby girl the following day and gave birth to her in September 2024.
