Chiefs, Texans Added to Christmas Slate in New Netflix Streaming Deal
The 2024 NFL schedule is set to be revealed fully at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, but there are a ton of games that have already begun to leak online. Two games that have been leaked are the Christmas showdowns, which will be landing on a surprise streaming service this year.
Longtime NFL insider Jordan Schultz revealed on X that the Christmas games will feature the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens.
The Chiefs will take on the Steelers while the Ravens will face off against the Texans. Both games should feature some great action, and both have the chance to be the AFC playoff previews this season.

What is most surprising about this announcement is that both games will be streamed exclusively on Netflix. The streamer has been attempting to get a foothold in the sports world, and landing two NFL games on Christmas is a huge start.

The Chiefs are the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions, and they are aiming to become the first team in NFL history to secure a third championship in a row. Most of the team has returned, and they even surprisingly traded up with the Bills in the 2024 NFL Draft to select the speediest wide receiver at the NFL Combine, Xavier Worthy.
The Steelers have been attempting to return to AFC relevancy, and they made some big moves to do just that. The team brought in former Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson — and to add more insurance, they also added former Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields.

Steelers general manager Omar Khan was busy in free agency attempting to strengthen the team and get them back to a place where they can compete for the Super Bowl. With a 10-7 record last season, they managed to make the playoffs but lost in the Wild Card round to the Bills.
One of the most surprising teams in the 2023 NFL season was the Houston Texans. Riding the wave of one of the most dynamic seasons from a rookie in NFL history, the team bolstered an offense led by rookie quarterback sensation C.J. Stroud, wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell, along with a tough defense that allowed them to blow past the Browns in the Wild Card round of the playoffs with a final score of 45-14.
All season long, the Baltimore Ravens were the Super Bowl favorites. Quarterback Lamar Jackson burned through defenses with his deep shots and ability to add chunk yardage when using his legs. He secured his second MVP honor, though the team floundered in the playoffs against the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
All four teams should do well in the 2024 season, and being that they will face off with one another on Christmas, their eventual statuses as playoff hopefuls should be well-known by then.
