China Reacts to Trump’s Nuclear Weapons Tests Order

China has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump ordering the defense department to resume testing nuclear weapons “on an equal basis” with Russia and China.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that China hopes the U.S. will abide by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and maintain its commitment to suspend nuclear tests, China’s state-run Global Times newspaper reported.
