Cleveland Browns’ Potential Free Agency Plans Revealed by Insider
Entering the 2026 NFL offseason, the Cleveland Browns are hoping to start the process of getting back to being a contender.
Over the last couple of years, there hasn’t been much to be excited about for Browns fans. Heading into this offseason, the team has already decided to make one big change.
Kevin Stefanski will not return as the team’s head coach. Cleveland decided to go in a different direction and Stefanski was quickly hired by the Atlanta Falcons to be their new head coach. As for the Browns, they brought in former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken to lead their franchise into the future.

One big question mark entering the offseason comes at the quarterback position. Shedeur Sanders finished the 2025 campaign as the team’s starter, but Cleveland could consider bringing in another signal caller this offseason. Andrew Berry and company could also give Sanders another chance in 2026.
With that being said, the Browns’ potential plans heading into NFL free agency have been revealed by an NFL insider.
Cleveland Browns Linked to Making Intriguing Quarterback Decision

Jason La Canfora, a longtime NFL insider, has connected Cleveland to being a potential suitor for Green Bay Packers free agent quarterback Malik Willis. He also mentioned the Miami Dolphins as a potential Willis suitor.
“One general manager, whose team will be in the quarterback market at least to some degree, pointed to Cleveland and Miami as the teams to beat,” La Canfora wrote.
“And another general manager, less inclined to be seeking a new QB, identified that contact Justin Fields signed with the Jets a year ago as a likely template for what Willis can likely land on the open market.”
Willis is coming off of another quality year with the Packers. He didn’t play much, but he was ready when called upon.
Late in the season, the 26-year-old quarterback was given a start against the Ravens following Jordan Love’s concussion. He threw for 288 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions, while completing 18 of his 21 passes. Willis also racked up 60 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

It has been widely speculated that Willis will leave Green Bay for an opportunity to earn a starting job. That is exactly the kind of situation that the Browns could offer him.
Expect to hear plenty of rumors surrounding Cleveland this offseason. The quarterback situation will be something to monitor closely and Willis’ name is worth keeping an eye on.
