CM Punk Potenital WWE Return Date Revealed: Report
After an incredible Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024, CM Punk went to Monday Night Raw to let the WWE Universe know that he would be taking some time off of television.
“I’m gonna go home,” Punk said. “I haven’t seen my wife in about five weeks. I’ve got a lot of flowers to buy.”
“I appreciate you all. I’d like to say, ‘I’ll see you soon,’ but I just don’t know. Thank you.”
Naturally, this prompted fans to wonder why he was taking a break and when he could possibly come back to the squared circle.
Now, it appears that we might have an answer.
According to Fightful Select, CM Punk has been taking time off not just to recover, he was skipping Crown Jewel 2024 because he was against participating in any Saudi Arabia show.
Most importantly, Fightful Select revealed that the Second City Saint may return on Monday, Nov. 11.
This would make for a huge moment on Monday Night Raw, especially given the heat between CM Punk and Seth Rollins, who had a dramatic stare-down the last time Punk was on television.
That being said, Rollins is already involved in an exciting feud with Bronson Reed. Whether CM Punk will fit into the rivalry.
Additionally, Gunther vs. Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship is also already set up, meaning that it’s unlikely CM Punk can challenge for the title.
No matter who he faces, there’s no doubt that fans will be excited to see CM Punk return.
CM Punk began his professional wrestling career with IWA Mid-South before making his name in Ring of Honor (ROH).
After four years with ROH, CM Punk joined Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE’s developmental territory, in 2005 before moving to the main roster in 2006.
CM Punk would quickly become one of the most popular superstars in WWE, winning countless titles and naturally getting the crowd behind him.
After difficulties with management for a variety of reasons, CM Punk left WWE in 2014. He would mostly stay away from professional wrestling before joining All Elite Wrestling in 2021.
Punk’s return became one of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. In 2023, he would leave AEW after being involved in a physical altercation backstage with Jack Perry.
CM Punk would return to WWE in 2023, where he has remained ever since.
In his career, CM Punk has won the WWE Championship twice, the World Heavyweight Championship three times, the ECW Championship, the ROH World Championship, and the AEW World Championship (twice).
