Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders Receives Massive Health Update
The health of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has been a major storyline throughout the course of the college football offseason.
While there have not been a lot of concrete updates regarding what he was dealing with, those questions have now been answered. A massive new update was shared about Sanders on Monday.
As shared by his medical team, Sanders had been dealing with a cancerous bladder tumor. However, that tumor has been cured and he is now cancer free.

“I am pleased to report that the results from the surgery are that he is cured from the cancer,” his doctor said.
This is scary news for one of the most entertaining defensive backs to ever grace an NFL field. He has also become one of the most talked-about head coaches in college football and has been working to turn Colorado back into a contender.
In a video from back in May, as shared by the New York Post, Sanders had revealed that he had created a last will and testament.
“I don’t know if I’m ready mentally, emotionally,” Sanders said at the time. “Last night was tough, yesterday was tough because I had to make a will. That’s not easy at all, to think that you might not be here.”
Now, fans finally know what Sanders was dealing with. Thankfully, it sounds like his doctors were able to get ahead of the disease and cure it.
On Saturday, Sanders took to social media to share his thankfulness for life.
“GOD IS INCREDIBLE! Lord thank u,” he wrote.

Since taking over as the head coach of the Buffaloes, Sanders has led the program to a 13-12 record. He will be facing his biggest test yet during the upcoming 2025 college football season, as he will be forced to coach without Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter on the roster.
Regardless of the outcome of the football season, Sanders has received a second chance at life. His cancer is cured, and he will be able to continue doing what he loves and living life to the fullest.
