Colts’ Daniel Jones Awarded Massive $400,000 Bonus
The Indianapolis Colts continue to surprise everyone in the NFL. The team is currently 4-1 on the season after blowing out the Las Vegas Raiders 40-6 in Week 5.

One of the most surprising aspects of this Colts team has been former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones has had a major resurgence, throwing 1,290 yards and six touchdowns through five games.
Jones fell out of favor with Giants head coach Brian Daboll, leading to him being benched and then shockingly cut in the 2024 season. He would be signed by the Minnesota Vikings to back up Sam Darnold.
In the 2025 offseason, Jones was signed by the Colts, and he began to shine during training camp and preseason. It was announced that Jones beat out Anthony Richardson for the starting quarterback position, leading many to wonder how he got the job.
Jones came out strong, dishing the ball for 272 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. He continued his elite play, and has been awarded a massive bonus five weeks into the season.
According to Spotrac, Jones has already been awarded a $400,000 bonus after securing four wins and playing at least 50 percent of snaps.

Jones could potentially be in line for more bonuses as the season progresses, but his being awarded this money with a lot more football left is just a testament to how the Colts team viewed his evolution in training camp. Jones and company are one of the best AFC teams in the NFL currently.
The Colts have two big matchups in Weeks 6 and 7, as they will face the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Chargers. Should they win both games, it will be hard not to envision this team as being a playoff favorite, along with speaking with them as a legit Super Bowl contender.
