Commanders’ Dan Quinn Shares Concerning Terry McLaurin Injury News
The Washington Commanders have been without leading wide receiver Terry McLaurin since he suffered a quad injury in the team’s Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Now heading into the Commanders’ Week 6 “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Chicago Bears, McLaurin’s injury status is still uncertain.
McLaurin did not take a step in the right direction on Wednesday either, notching yet another did not participate practice designation.
Washington head coach Dan Quinn shared the news of McLaurin’s practice status when speaking to reporters before the session. He also revealed that WR Noah Brown (groin) is practicing.
Quinn said the team will continue to monitor both wide receiver injuries as the week unfolds.

After months of contract negotiations over the summer, McLaurin agreed to a three-year, $87 million contract extension with the Commanders shortly before the season started. Before suffering his quad injury in Week 3, the 30-year-old wideout reeled in 10 catches for 149 yards and no touchdowns.
While McLaurin will not practice on Wednesday, Quinn expressed he’ll know more about McLaurin’s status the closer the team gets to Monday night’s Week 6 matchup against the Bears.
“We’ll make sure we take all the right steps. Just like we do with all the guys. If they’re able to, you know, fully express how they play and do the thing, then we’re there. And if not, we’ll have to keep waiting, but we won’t decide yet,” Quinn said of his injured players, via Commanders.com. “But with having an extra day, that never hurts going into it. But as we get a few more days from now, I think I’ll have a better sense for if it’s able to be done and what it looks like and how they’re responding to it.”
The Commanders are 3-2 following Sunday’s Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Bears are 2-2, winning each of their last two games before their Week 5 bye.
Monday’s game will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET.
