Connor Cruise Drops First Post in Over a Year
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Connor Cruise just shared a rare glimpse into his life.
The 30-year-old son of famous A-list actors Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman released a rare photo on his Instagram on Friday, January 24, where he can be seen at the Pelican Golf Course with his friend Jim.
In the photo, Connor takes a selfie while Jim throws up a peace sign. In a separate post on his Instagram Stories, Connor shares a better view of the course, located in Belleair, Florida, and wrote, “No place like home,” in the caption.
Both men were bundled up for a colder day of action on the course.

This marked Connor’s first Instagram feed post since the spring of 2023, which was taken on the very same golf course. He was slightly active on Instagram on January 17, his 30th birthday, where he was re-sharing a ton of wishes from friends and family.
Prior to that, Connor’s Instagram was flooded with posts over the years of him fishing on the Florida Coast. In January 2021, he celebrated his 200th catch with a fish that was as tall as he is.
Connor was adopted by Cruise, 62, and Kidman, 57, shortly after his birth in 1995. The Hollywood stars, who married in 1990, adopted Connor’s sister Isabella, now 32, in 1993. Despite growing up surrounded by the film industry, both Connor and Isabella have managed to keep their lives relatively private.
In 2001 Cruise and Kidman would divorce after eight years together, with Cruise going on to marry actress Katie Holmes in 2006. Cruise and Holmes, who also divorced, share a daughter, Suri Cruise, who is 18-years-old. Meanwhile, Kidman married country star Keith Urban in 2006, and the two share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman is coming off a big year in 2024, having starred in the Netflix comedy A Family Affair and the A24 erotic thriller Babygirl. In 2025, Cruise will be releasing Mission Impossible: Dead Recocking Part Two, a follow-up to his 2023 blockbuster that is reportedly going to be the Oscar nominee’s final Mission Impossible film.
