Corgi and Dachshund Have Puppies, Owner Shares Adorable Result
A pet owner has melted the hearts of viewers online after sharing a video of their puppy born from a corgi and dachshund mix—delighting dog lovers with the rare combination’s adorable outcome.
The series of images, posted by @subie.the.dorgi in June, has been viewed more than 46,000 times. It introduces viewers on TikTok to the puppy’s unique lineage, opening with photos of a corgi, followed by a dachshund, before revealing the result: a small, dapple-coated puppy with tan coloring and short legs, known colloquially as a dorgi.
“When you mix a corgi, and a doxie, you get this cute girl,” an overlaid text on the video read, while the caption added: “Little legs but the biggest heart.”
The dorgi puppy, shown in multiple images wearing a cute bandanna and pink hat while out on walks, quickly drew a wave of affection from viewers. The blend of the dachshund’s long, low frame and the corgi’s expressive face and perky ears make for a distinctive look that social media users have embraced.
Many viewers left comments gushing over the dog’s adorable appearance and likely spunky personality.
“I just know she has major Dog-itude,” one viewer said.
“Not to be dramatic…But I would die for her,” another added.
“Dorgis are the best,” a third viewer shared. “here’s mine.”
“The best of both worlds,” one viewer commented. “She’s so adorable. That cute little face.”
“Oh, look at that sweet little face! You can see how sweet she is by that little smile on her face!” another posted.
“The cutest combo,” a third added.
Several viewers shared images of their own dorgis, keen to show off how sweet the rare, short-legged mix looks.
The brief carousel is one of several posts shared by the pet owner, documenting life with the cheerful mix. The puppy’s dapple-and=tan fur reflects traits from both parent breeds.
The dorgi is not a formally recognized breed, but the combination is known for its affectionate temperament, small stature, and energetic behavior. With short legs, long bodies, and friendly, alert expressions, dorgis often inherit strong-willed traits from both sides—along with a deep devotion to their owners.
