Cowboys Officially Hire Next Head Coach, And It’s Not Deion Sanders
The Dallas Cowboys have officially hired their next head coach, and it’s not Deion Sanders. Sanders had talked to Jerry Jones about the role, but the team has moved in a completely different direction.
Former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will serve as the franchise’s next head coach. Schottenheimer has received the ultimate promotion and will be set on leading the Cowboys in 2025.

Schottenheimer served as offensive coordinator for the Cowboys in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Now, he will be responsible for bringing his replacement as offensive coordinator.
