Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson Ruled Out of MNF With Apparent Concussion
The Dallas Cowboys continue to get hit with significant injuries. Star tight end Jake Ferguson has now been ruled out of the team’s Monday Night Football game with a concussion.

Ferguson had one reception for 11 yards on the night and has now been ruled out of this important matchup against the Houston Texans. Ferguson has secured 358 yards on 42 receptions on the season so far.
The third-year tight end is coming off a solid 2023 season, where he secured 761 yards and five touchdowns.
Ferguson spoke to Newsweek Sports in an exclusive interview, where he spoke about losing Dak Prescott for the season, and what the team needed to do to climb out of the hole of having a 3-6 record. The interview can be read by clicking here.
The Cowboys need a big win on Monday Night Football if they are to rebound their 2024 season. Their 3-6 record is odd considering the team has typically started off their seasons strong. To make matters worse, it will be difficult to catch the top two teams in the NFC East.
The Philadelphia Eagles are in first place with an 8-2 record, followed by the Washington Commanders, who are 7-4. The Cowboys are falling further behind in a way that they will not likely be able to catch either the Eagles or Commanders.
The Cowboys are taking on the Texans on Monday night, which is going to be a tough task. The Texans are one of the best teams in the AFC, posting a 6-4 record. However, they have been struggling as of late, going 1-3 in their last four outings.
The Cowboys will need to play complementary football to take down a Texans team that has playmakers on both sides of the ball. C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, Joe Mixon, and Tank Dell lead the offense, while the defense has stars like Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
The Cowboys will have to attempt to take down the Texans without the help of Ferguson, who is now ruled out. Dallas has been dealing with injuries throughout most of 2024.
The Cowboys lost defensive end Sam Williams before the season began, and star cornerback DaRon Bland also suffered a stress fracture that has kept him out of starting. Also, DeMarcus Lawrence remains on IR with a foot injury.
Micah Parsons missed multiple weeks due to a high ankle sprain, and Prescott underwent season-ending surgery after suffering a significant hamstring injury. For now, the Cowboys need to hope everyone can step up to fuel an upset win.
