Deion Sanders Changes Tune, ‘Happy’ For Shedeur Sanders to Go Anywhere
Being a top athlete and the son of a famous athlete like Deion Sanders brings plenty of attention, whether good or bad. One such way Shedeur Sanders has received attention during the draft process is how much power he might have on his landing spot.
Plenty of initial reports have suggested Deion and Shedeur had specific teams they were willing to play for and specific teams they wouldn’t play for.

With recent rumors starting to circulate that the New York Giants are suddenly the favorite to draft the young QB out of Colorado, that could be part of the reason why the quarterback-needy Browns seem less interested.
However, Deion himself is doing his best to quell those rumors, stating that he is fine with his son playing anywhere.
On “The Skip Bayless Show”, Deion told Bayless that any team that needed a quarterback, he’d be fine with them taking Shedeur.

“If it’s New York it’s New York, if it’s Tennessee, if it’s Cleveland, if it’s still the Raiders, if it’s New Orleans, if it’s any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback I’m happy with it, man. Because I know what he’s going to do to the organization,” Sanders said on the show.
These comments seem to indicate that the Browns shouldn’t hesitate to take Sanders second overall if that is the real reason the expectations are starting to shift away from that being the pick.
While New York from a market standpoint is the better place to be than in Cleveland, it would be a great story for Sanders to come in and turn around what has historically been a suffering franchise.
It is also possible there is some motivation surrounding the signing of Russell Wilson by the Giants, where it would seem Wilson would start the year as the top quarterback, even if just temporarily.
Unless the Browns have other plans, it seems Sanders would start right away if the Browns were to draft him, making them possibly the most enticing destination of the other potentially interested teams.
It also is enticing to make more money, something that comes with being selected higher in the NFL draft.
While initially, it seemed the Sanders family would do its best to get Shedeur playing for a specific team as a rookie, it seems like that may have been overblown based on these Deion comments. However, it could all be just talk to steer public perception, meaning it may take some more time to find out what is actually the truth regarding the situation.
