Democrats Lob Epstein Accusations at Mike Johnson in Heated Hallway Clash
Arizona Senate Democrats Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego clashed with Speaker Mike Johnson in the hallways of the Capitol on Wednesday, over the swearing-in of Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva.
Johnson vowed Tuesday to swear-in the newest Democrat congresswoman “as soon as she wants,” but he has since flip-flopped, saying she would not be sworn-in until her party agrees to end the government shutdown.
Gallego confronted Johnson, demanding to know why Grijalva’s swearing-in had been delayed, and if the delay was connected with the release of the Epstein files.
“This has nothing to do with Epstein,” Johnson shot back, adding that Gallego was being “absurd.”
This is breaking news, updates to follow.
