Dodgers Agree To 1-Year, $5.5 Million Deal With World Series Hero: Report
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been the best team in baseball over the last two years. They’ve won back-to-back World Series titles, including a recent seven-game thriller over the Toronto Blue Jays.
But they’re seemingly ready to upgrade the roster already.
The Dodgers are expected to be one of the top suitors in the free agency sweepstakes for Kyle Tucker. But before they could land Tucker, they reportedly agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million deal with World Series hero Miguel Rojas, per multiple reports, including one from Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Rojas saved the Dodgers’ season with a ninth-inning, game-tying home run in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series. Without this swing of the bat, the Dodgers would have lost 4-3 in Game 7, sending the Blue Jays home as world champions.
The veteran infielder has been very solid for the Dodgers over the last three seasons. He’s been worth at least 1.0 WAR in each of the last six years, including two consecutive seasons of 2.0-plus WAR.
He’s able to slide around the field on defense, which is a huge plus for the Dodgers. Los Angeles made him a priority in free agency this winter because of the value he brings to the team.
