Dodgers All-Star Sends Message to LA Offense Amid Struggles
The Los Angeles Dodgers followed up an 18-inning World Series classic with an uninspired offensive performance during Game 4.
After the gargantuan task of playing a six-hour and 39-minute baseball game, it was almost expected that the Dodgers would be somewhat hampered, but the Toronto Blue Jays not only had the same circumstances, but handily won Game 4.
Regardless, All-Star third baseman Max Muncy spoke on his team’s offensive struggles on Tuesday evening, but first touched on the successes of the Blue Jays.

“(The Blue Jays are) executing really well right now,” Muncy said. “We’re not taking advantage of the few mistakes that they’re making. Like I said, they’re just executing. Anytime a pitcher executes, it’s gonna be a tough day.
“(The offense has been) not great. We’re missing on the big opportunities, myself included. I’m one of the big culprits of that. I’ve had some opportunities and I haven’t cashed in. We gotta get the big hit.”
Muncy is hitting just .176 in the World Series thus far, and batting .200 through the postseason.

In an effort to get some more runs on the board and inject new life into the offense, manager Dave Roberts shook up the lineup ahead of the pivotal Game 5. Andy Pages, hitting just .067 during the Fall Classic, was replaced by Alex Call in the lineup.
Another major edit was moving the struggling Mookie Betts down to the No. 3 spot in the order, while All-Star catcher Will Smith moves up to the No. 2 hole. The skipper spoke on his decision to change things ahead of such an important contest.
“I feel that that’s the best way to win the game tonight,” Roberts said. “Both players were alerted and both players are all on board.”
