Dog’s Enthusiastic Response to ‘Paw’ Delights Internet: ‘Sassy’

A miniature goldendoodle’s over-the-top response to a simple request from their owner has melted the hearts of viewers on TikTok, drawing in millions of viewers with their unexpectedly spirited reaction.

The canine was captured standing up on their hind legs, handing both their paws over to their owner with sheer enthusiasm after being commanded to do so. The viral moment, which had been shared to the platform on March 21 by the dog’s owner under @_daaniellaaa_, has attracted more than 2.8 million views and over 569,000 likes to date.

Viewers were able to see the dog being prompted to give their paw. Without hesitation, they lifted a paw to their owner’s hand. Then, without waiting for a second command, the dog leaped up onto their hind legs, enthusiastically pressing both paws into their owner’s hands as if to say, “Enough games, here’s everything.”

“Asking my dog for paw over [and] over again, lost patience right at the start,” the dog’s owner said in the caption of the post.

The post had been hashtagged, “Sassy dog.”

The dog’s immediate, almost theatrical reaction has drawn laughter and affection from across the platform.

The canine’s movements were fast, energetic, and expressive—more Broadway audition than dog trick. It is this level of expressive gusto that has charmed viewers on the platform, who flooded the comments with praise, laughter, and comparisons to their own pets.
