Dolly Parton’s Husband Carl Thomas Dean Dead at Age 82

Dolly Parton’s husband Carl Thomson Dean died on Monday, March 3, at the age of 82.
Dean shared nearly 60 years of marriage with the 79-year-old country legend. He passed away in Nashville, TN.
Parton’s Instagram account announced the heartbreaking news, confirming that Dean would be laid to rest in a private ceremony attended by close family. The post read, “Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending.”

The singer, who has mostly kept their personal life private, shared a heartfelt message, saying, “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.” The post added that the family asks for privacy at this time.
Fans and celebs alike were quick to take to the comments to send their condolences to the country star.
“Oh my heart! I am so sorry for your loss! My heart aches for you! My deepest condolences. ❤️🩹praying for you and sending you love and prayers 😖,” reality star Khloé Kardashian commented.
The official Cracker Barrel account said, “Sending you and your family all our love, Dolly 💛.”
“I’m so sorry for your great loss Dolly we are all here for you 😢,” one fan wished, while another said, “I’ve never wanted to give Dolly a hug more. ❤️”
Despite his wife’s fame, he remained largely out of the public eye, and was a successful businessman. According to the New York Post, the couple met when Parton was just 18 years old at a laundromat in Nashville and married two years later in 1966.
The cause of Dean’s death has not been disclosed at this time.
