Donald Trump Announces $300 Billion ‘America First’ Oil Refinery in Texas


President Donald Trump said he is backing what he described as a $300 billion “America First” oil refinery project planned for Brownsville, Texas, calling it the first new U.S. refinery in decades and a major investment aimed at boosting domestic energy production and jobs.

Trump announced the proposal in a Truth Social post, saying the project would be developed with partners from India, including energy company Reliance, though details of the deal were not immediately available.

The president posted, “America is returning to REAL ENERGY DOMINANCE! Today I am proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the FIRST new U.S. Oil Refinery in 50 YEARS in Brownsville, Texas.
